Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Campus Pulse ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and Campus Pulse ("we", "us", or "our").

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to use the App.
You must be a current or former university student to create an account.
You must provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
One account per person is permitted. Creating multiple accounts to manipulate reviews or bypass restrictions is prohibited.

2. User Accounts

When you create an account, you agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate
Keep your password secure and not share it with others
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

3. User-Generated Content

By posting reviews, ratings, or comments on the App, you agree that:

Your content is based on your genuine personal experience as a student
Your reviews are truthful, fair, and not intentionally misleading
You will not post content that is defamatory, abusive, threatening, or harassing
You will not post content containing hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks
You will not post content that is obscene, sexually explicit, or inappropriate
You will not post spam, advertisements, or promotional material
You will not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation

You retain ownership of your content but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it within the App.

4. Content Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines. Our moderation process includes:

Automated filtering for prohibited content
Manual review of flagged or reported content
Investigation of reported violations

Content removal decisions are at our sole discretion. Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent account suspension. If you believe content has been wrongly removed, you may contact our support team for review.

5. Prohibited Activities

When using the App, you must not:

Attempt to manipulate ratings through fake reviews or coordinated campaigns
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the App
Attempt to access other users' accounts or personal data
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
Use the App for any commercial purpose without our consent
Collect or harvest user data from the App
Circumvent any content moderation or security measures

6. Anonymity & Privacy

We provide anonymity as a core feature to encourage honest feedback. However:

Anonymity does not protect users who post illegal content or engage in harassment
We may be required to disclose user information in response to valid legal requests
Abuse of anonymity to target individuals with false or malicious reviews is strictly prohibited

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, logos, graphics, features, and source code, is owned by Campus Pulse and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without our written permission
The Campus Pulse name and logo are our trademarks
User-generated reviews remain the intellectual property of their respective authors
Screenshots or reproductions of App content for commercial use are prohibited

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any reviews or ratings
The uninterrupted or error-free operation of the App
The suitability of the App for any particular purpose

Reviews and ratings reflect individual student opinions and do not represent the views of Campus Pulse, any university, or any educational institution.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campus Pulse shall not be liable for:

Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App
Any loss or damage resulting from reliance on information provided through the App
Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
Any interruption or cessation of the App's services

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us, if any, in the preceding 12 months.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, including for:

Violation of these Terms
Posting false, defamatory, or harmful content
Abusive behavior toward other users
Any activity that disrupts the App or harms its community

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes:

We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top
We will notify users of significant changes through the App
Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms
